The United States is offering a reward of up to $20 million for information about Iran’s nuclear program. The State Department’s Rewards for Justice program posted the offer on Friday, November 6, and it includes possible relocation for people who provide information.
The program is seeking information about Iran’s nuclear facilities and equipment, and about the people connected to the program, such as members of the scientific community. It also seeks information about the movement of any of these. U.S. Central Command shared the offer on X the same day it was posted.
The program’s page ties the offer to a gap in international oversight. It says the International Atomic Energy Agency has lost continuity of knowledge about Iran’s production and inventory of centrifuges, the machines used to enrich uranium. The page accepts tips through Signal, Telegram and Tor.
The offer was posted in a week of open tension between Washington and Tehran. President Donald Trump confirmed on Friday that U.S. forces had carried out limited strikes inside Iran, and talks between the two sides, mediated by Qatar, are continuing.
One point is not established. The program’s page carries no date, and it is not clear whether this is a new offer or a repost or an increase of an earlier one.
