Watch: Hawaiʻi National Guard Pushes Through Floodwater During Hurricane Nolo Rescue Operations

The Hawaiʻi National Guard’s Koa Team 3 High-Water Vehicle Team drove through floodwater in Hawaiʻi County on Sept. 26, 2026, as soldiers and airmen conducted civilian rescue operations during the response to Hurricane Nolo.

The Guard says personnel used specialized high-water vehicles to reach and assist residents affected by flooding and hazardous conditions, working alongside county and emergency response partners.

The released b-roll shows the vehicles driving through floodwater; the rescues themselves were not caught on video.
