“Blackbeard,” an air-launched, long-range hypersonic strike missile, successfully completed another flight-test milestone recently, the Air Force Research Laboratory announced.
The test was conducted on an F/A-18E/F Super Hornet at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, Maryland. AFRL says the flight represents a key developmental test step in the program’s progression toward Early Operational Capability (EOC).
