Animal shelters and celebrities around the world are marking Remember Me Thursday, the annual day of awareness for orphan pets still waiting for homes. Celebrity supporters this year include Alicia Silverstone, Bob Odenkirk, Morgan Fairchild, Alan Tudyk, Scoot McNairy and Los Angeles Chargers players Daiyan Henley, Omarion Hampton and Teair Tart, alongside actors Andie MacDowell and Katherine Heigl, who have lent their support in past years. “Remember Me Thursday is such an important reminder that these animals are here, they are worthy, and they are waiting for someone to choose them,” said Silverstone. The public is invited to share stories of the difference an adopted pet has made in their lives using the hashtag #ShineALight. More information is available at remembermethursday.org.
