Taylor Swift has announced an expanded version of her 12th studio album, “The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore,” featuring four new songs — “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon” — arriving Friday, September 25. Swift revealed the project Wednesday on Instagram, saying the new songs came together during a trip to Sweden to celebrate the original album’s record-setting first week with collaborators Max Martin and Shellback. “Really we just wanted to reflect and take in how grateful we were for the moment we were in, but there was a studio there and we did what we do when we feel anything at all: We wrote more songs,” she wrote. “I hope you love them, because they were born out of pure gratitude for your exuberance for and celebration of the album we made.” The original album, released in October 2025, set the record for the biggest single-week album sales, with every one of its 12 songs landing in the top 12 of the Billboard Hot 100. A listening-party film released in theaters hit No. 1 at the box office that weekend. Swift may debut at least one of the new songs at Sunday’s MTV Video Music Awards, where she is set to receive the Artist Director Honor.
