Pete Buttigieg told a get-out-the-vote rally in Traverse City, Michigan, on October 30 that the high prices families are seeing did not happen by accident.
“This didn’t just happen out of the blue,” he said. “It happened because people like Jack Bergman voted with Donald Trump to put these tariffs on us, that all of us are paying. That’s why that happened.”
Buttigieg was campaigning for Democratic House candidate Callie Barr, who is challenging Bergman in Michigan’s 1st District.
